The Writer’s Guild

The Writer’s Guild helps support Script Writers across Great Britain through different media sources including books, film, online, radio, theatre, TV and videogames.

The Writer’s Guild helps campaign for writers and negotiates agreements with them to secure their best values and conditions. The Membership is open for writers of all levels of experience.

To join The Writer’s Guild there are different memberships such as Full Membership, Candidate Membership, Student Membership, and Affiliate Membership. 

Full Membership is for Writer’s who have at at least one professional contract from being a Writer, that is minimum for being a Full Membership. 

Candidate Membership are Writer’s who don’t have at least one professional contract from Writing but still would like to join the Guild to receive a range of benefits.

Student Membership is a special membership for students with reduced rate. It is for students who have an accredited writing course or an attachment with a theatre. 

Affiliate Membership are for people who work professionally with other writers (e.g. agents)
